Terms of Service
Last updated: April 16, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Comments on Code ("the Service"), operated by Paimons Codex LLC ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Comments on Code is an AI-powered code review tool that analyzes pull requests and merge requests on supported platforms (GitHub, GitLab) and posts review comments. The Service uses Anthropic's Claude API to analyze code diffs and provide feedback.
3. User Accounts
You may sign in using your GitHub account via OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to analyze code you do not have authorization to review
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI prompts or models used by the Service
- Circumvent rate limits, usage caps, or other technical restrictions
- Use the Service to generate malicious code, exploits, or harmful content
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without written permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
5. Payment Terms
The Free plan provides access to public repository reviews at no cost. The Pro plan ($24/month per user) provides access to private repository reviews and additional features. Payment is processed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your dashboard. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to your code. We do not claim ownership of any code analyzed by the Service. The review comments generated by the Service are provided for your use without restriction. The Service itself, including its design, infrastructure, and AI prompts, is the property of Paimons Codex LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. Code diffs are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis and are not stored after review.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may delete your account and data at any time through the dashboard or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. AI-generated code reviews are not a substitute for professional code review. We do not guarantee that the Service will catch all bugs, security issues, or code quality problems. You are solely responsible for the quality and security of your code.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paimons Codex LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. Each party shall bear its own costs.
